JAKARTA A number of members of the Semarang Police, the Semarang Regency fire department and members of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) gathered in the PLN UP28 Jateng-DIY building, Wednesday, January 31. Their presence to respond to the occurrence of disturbances in Kamtibmas at any time, could not be expected.

This simulation of handling disturbances in Kamtibmas is focused on national vital objects belonging to the state, as an emergency response to handling riots, threats of bombs and fires.

Kasat Samapta AKP Sakti Hermawan said this activity was a form of joint preparedness in the event of a security disturbance.

"PT PLN in Semarang Regency is one of the vital national objects, therefore even though this activity is only a simulation, we hope that in its implementation it can be carried out seriously. This is an implementation in case of actual disturbances, it can be anticipated with the steps we are taking today." explained AKP Sakti Hermawan, in his statement, Wednesday, January 1.

This simulation started with a demonstration in front of the PT office. PLN continued with the threat of terror bombing, handling fires, sterilizing the PLN environment by the Semarang Police K-9 unit, evacuating victims to securing terror suspects.

The Manager of the Semarang Transmission Implementation Unit (UPT) Novrizal Erdiansyah also said that emergency response simulation activities were always routinely carried out by PLN.

"As PLN personnel, we must be ready to face social and political dynamics, therefore we are growing awareness in the face of these dynamics", he said.

After the emergency response activity, the threat of Kamtibmas was followed by simulated earthquake and fire. Where the activity was guided by BPBD and the Semarang Regency Fire Department.
