JAKARTA The National Police is aggressively controlling the use of Brong exhaust on motorized vehicles. This is because the use of Brong exhaust on motorbikes and cars is considered to trigger conflict, disrupt public business, and be complained by the public.

Transportation observer and Deputy Chair for Strengthening and Regional Development of the Indonesian Transportation Society (MTI) Djoko Setijowarno assessed that it should not only be Brong exhaust users who must be dealt with.

Djoko said that the large CC motorcycle exhaust should also be followed up, at least being reminded to reduce the sound produced. However, Djoko realized that a motorbike was made at the factory with a large sound exhaust installed.

"If that's the case from the factory, from the manufacture. If you feel disturbed, the factory is asked to lower its voice," Djoko said when confirmed, Tuesday, January 23.

Djoko also admitted that he was disturbed by the sound of a Brong exhaust.

"I also don't like it. The factory (producer) must be reprimanded," he said.
