Large CC Ducati Multistrada V4 Motorcycles Now Can Use Radar Technology, But Only In The United States

YOGYAKARTA - Last November, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati, introduced its newest champion. Named the Multistrada V4, this fierce motorcycle will be the first large CC motorcycle to be produced with radar on the front and rear.

Co-developed with Bosch, the addition of the radar is intended to assist the task of the driving system. The front radar adapts Adaptive Cruise Control (AAC) technology.

This technology helps the motor computer in determining the distance between the vehicle and other vehicles. Not only that, but the AAC technology is also able to adjust the speed based on the 'limit' of acceleration and deceleration.

Meanwhile, the rear radar functions as a blind spot detector. As we can deduce from its name, this radar will alert the user when another vehicle is approaching from behind.

Although these large CC motorcycles are already on the market, the New Multistrada and its sophisticated radar system have only recently been certified by the North American market. So that it opens up wide opportunities for buyers from the United States because they can use the system legally.

It is known, previously the system was not active even though the vehicle was freely purchased in the United States market. Now, when the regulatory barriers have disappeared, users can feel firsthand the sophistication of the riding system offered by this Ducati.

"Owners of the 2021 model Multistrada V4 S now have the radar software installed and calibrated through their respective dealers", said Ducati.

In addition, this powerful Ducati motorcycle is powered by an engine that the company calls the Ducati Granturismo. Consists of a 1.158 cc engine capable of producing 170 hp (Horse Power) at 10.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 125 Nm at 8.750 rpm.

In the United States market, the Multistrada V4 model is priced at USD 19.995 (approximately IDR 289 million). Meanwhile, the S Sport variant is sold at a price of USD 26.095 (approximately IDR 378 million). It's just that, for the record, the price of this large CC motorbike can change at any time.
