JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani stated that it is very possible for Kaesang Pangarep to run in the 2024 Depok Pilkada. The name of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) youngest child could be considered.

This was conveyed by Puan in response to the emergence of encouragement, including from PSI, so that Kaesang ran for Mayor of Depok. This proposal began with Kaesang's photo with the slogan 'Kaesang for Happy Depok City Residents'.

"Mas Kaesang, it's okay, yes, to enter Depok. Later the PDI-P will consider it," Puan told reporters at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Tuesday, June 6.

Even so, Puan wants to talk further about Kaesang. Apart from the fact that the 2024 Pilkada is still far away, he must also ensure the interest of President Jokowi's son.

"After all, the Pilkada is still in 2024," he said.

Puan said she would ask Kaesang directly. "Interesting or not to enter the PDI-P," said the chairman of the DPR RI.

Previously, Kaesang Pangarep was suddenly carried by netizens to become Mayor of Depok. The news began when a tweet uploaded a photo of Erina Gudono's husband complete with his tagline.

The photo with a red background reads Kaesang for the Residents of Depok City who are cheerful' is widely commented on. After being traced, the poster was apparently made by volunteers from Ganjar Pranowo Center (GP Center).
