Cheat Code Allows Users To Easily Register To Threads App, Here's How!

JAKARTA - The Threads app, dubbed the 'Twitter killer', has been launched from Meta, but a cheat code allows users to register easily. Threads has a close connection with the Instagram account, which Meta already has.

To access the cheat code, you just need to type in 'threads' or 'thread' in the Instagram search bar, and you'll see a small pink ticket emoji that says 'admit one'. By clicking on this ticket, you'll see promotional card animations rotate with the Threads logo on the one hand and the username of your Instagram on the other.

There is also a countdown counter that counts seconds until Threads launches at 3 p.m. BST on Thursday, July 6. Under your username, there is a QR code that can be scanned to direct you to Threads on the App Store, and there is a button at the bottom that you can tap to set reminders when the app launches.

Threads is a free app described by Meta as a place where 'community gathers' to discuss topics via text - which sounds very similar to Twitter.

"Threads is a place where communities gather to discuss everything from topics you care about today to what will trend tomorrow," the description of the app said.

"Whatever you are interested in, you can follow and connect directly with your favorite creators and others who like the same thing - or build your own loyal followers to share ideas, opinions, and creativity with the world."

Threads can be a great step from Meta as it allows users to get through most of the effort needed to sign up for a new app. This is because anyone who already has an Instagram account will be given a Threads account with the same username. Instagram already has more than two billion active users worldwide who have provided their details when registering.

In comparison, its competitor Twitter has less than 400 million active users, according to analytics firm Demand Sage, so Twitter CEO Elon Musk may be really worried.

Musk has underestimated Twitter's competitors, including Mastodon, who saw a rapid increase in the number of new subscribers following Musk's takeover of Twitter. However, Threads could be a different situation because it is supported by multi-billion-dollar power from Meta, which owns Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

Threads has been dubbed an online 'netwit killer' amid tensions between two rival billionaires who have expressed their desire to fight in the cage at the Colosseum in Rome.

Musk seems more enthusiastic about this because he has repeatedly encouraged Twitter users to delete their Facebook accounts, and in the past he has called the social network "bad".

At first, Threads will only be available for iOS when it launches on Thursday, so Android users will have to wait.
