Bekasi Metro Police Tightens Security Of Tourist Attractions During Year-End Holidays

The Bekasi Metro Police has stepped up security efforts at various tourist attractions during the year-end holidays to ensure the comfort of the community and maintain regional stability.

Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol. Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi, emphasized that officers are fully committed to ensuring security at tourist attractions. He also guaranteed that these locations remain safe and deserve to be visited during the year-end holiday period.

"Security at tourist attractions has an important role in creating a conducive situation during year-end holidays," said Twedi in Cikarang, as quoted by ANTARA.

He explained that increased security was carried out by placing personnel in all existing tourist sites. In addition, routine patrols are carried out to ensure the readiness of officers to maintain security.

The presence of officers, who are working with the internal security team of tourist objects, is also expected to be able to prevent incidents that have the potential to endanger visitors. Anticipatory steps, including evacuation during bad weather, have also been prepared.

In addition, the police have deployed additional personnel to regulate and monitor traffic flow around tourist areas in Bekasi Regency.

"We urge the public to always be vigilant and immediately report to the officers if they find anything suspicious," he continued.

Twedi said that the level of community mobility during the Christmas and New Year holidays is estimated to be very high, especially because it coincides with the school holidays which last until January 2025.

Tourist objects such as the Tarumajaya area, Waterboom Lippo Cikarang in South Cikarang, and Go! Wet Waterpark in South Tambun is a priority for security. These three locations are predicted to be the main destinations for tourists, both from within and outside Bekasi Regency.
