Lamb Of God Guitarist Celebrates 6 Years Of Struggle Against Alcohol And Opium Dependence

JAKARTA - Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton has spoken openly about his dependence on alcohol and opium, as well as his fight against that dependence.

In his upload,eon stated the struggle had led him to be free from dependence.

He declared himself free from liquor and opium in the last six years.

I woke up this morning with six years of being clean and conscious. This happens after decades of drinking (drinking) almost every day and with the last ten years it has been exacerbated by the increasingly progressive opiat addiction that almost kills me," wrote Mark ORIGIN via uploads on his Instagram account, Sunday, December 29.

With his success against dependence,eon reminded everyone not to give up, as they struggle to recover from addiction.

"I'm writing this just in case someone out there feels desperate, helpless and paralyzed because of addiction like I used to, may read it and start believing that recovery is possible," he said.

You can recover and live a life that goes beyond anything you've ever dreamed of. Find alcohol addicts or addicts who are recovering. Ask what they do. You deserve it," he added.

eon often talks openly about his struggle against dependence. In his memoir published earlier this year, Desolvement: A Heavy Metal Memoir, the 52-year-old guitarist praised Guns N 'Roses guitarist Slash for helping him recover.

Slash was quite open about his experience with a few things. So, when I try not to drink alcohol and long before I was able to achieve sustainable calm or recovery, Slash was helpful. He was very loving, very kind, and provided himself with some insight and perspectives that he shared," concluded the guitarist.
