Microsoft Says PlayStation 5 Slim Version Will Release End Of Year 2023

JAKARTA - A recently published document as part of its fight with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft said that the new PlayStation 5 model will be released in 2023.

In the document, the tech giant mentions that Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will have two versions of PlayStation 5, and the latest is the Slam version of PS5.

"PlayStation also sells cheaper Digital Edition for $399.99, and is expected to release PlayStation 5 Slim later this year at a discounted price," Microsoft wrote in a document found by GamingBolt.

Actually, this slik version of the PS5 is not new to Sony. Like the previous version of PlayStation, Sony has always released several versions of its device. However, Sony himself has not revealed anything about this Slim PS5.

However, with a document stating that the Slim PS5 will be released later this year, Sony could be disclosing more details about its new console in the near future.

Launching from multiple leaks and rumors from Insider Gaming, the PS5 will come with a removable disk drive. They mentioned that it can be installed via a USB-C port.

Not only that, in the same document, Microsoft also revealed several other things, such as the Indiana Jones of MachineGames and Project Dragon of the exclusive Interactive IO for the Xbox Series X/S to the budget for Horizon Forbidden West and The Last of Us Part 2.
