Different From Before, IOI Will Create RPG Online Fantasy In The Future

JAKARTA - The studio behind the popular game HITMAN, IO Interactive (IOI) confirmed on their blog that they are currently working on a new project, an online fantasy RPG that will be coming in the future.

“Seven years ago, we launched that world (HITMAN) in its infancy and grew it to consist of three full games, exciting new game modes, many additional locations, and additional targets” wrote the studio, quoted Wednesday, March 1.

“Now we share with you all, that we are starting a new adventure! We are building a new world, a new IP, an online fantasy RPG," said IOI further.

According to the studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark, this game genre is one that has never been made before. “It feels familiar, but at the same time IOI is going on a journey like nothing we've ever done before,” he added.

With the development of this new game genre, IOI wants to show that they have a team with different skills and different strengths, who can work together and become bigger than you think.

Currently, IOI has several different studios, from Copenhagen and Malmö in the north to Barcelona in the South. All of these studios have always been involved in the creation of all the games that have ever been made, including later projects.

“People from all over the world with diverse personalities and skills come together for a fresh start. This is only the beginning of our journey into this new world we have created. We hope you feel the warmth, the danger, the togetherness, and the heart we put into it," concluded the studio.
