JAKARTA - Spotify is always looking for new ways to provide the best experience between artists and their fans. To that end, Spotify is expanding its "Blend" feature, to include more artists.
According to the company, Blend is an easy way for users to create shared playlists based on each user's listening preferences. In March, the company released an update to its music discovery feature that includes the ability to "mingle" with other users, even up to 10 people or with a music artist.

But actually, the Blend feature was introduced last year, and has expanded by adding the most popular K-pop artists, namely BTS, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, NMIXX and AB6IX.
In this expansion, the company will add the names of other artists namely Lizzo, The Chainsmokers, and Post Malone. In addition to adding artist lists, Spotify is adding a new experience to Blend that will give you the opportunity to shop for merchandise from your favorite artists.

Here's how to use the Blend feature with an artist and buy their merchandise:
- Click the name of the artist in this story to be directed to Blend. Or, check out the artist's links from their social channels. You can now choose from Lizzo, The Chainsmokers and Post Malone.
- Let Spotify create a playlist tailored to your tastes together.
- Check your social sharing card. It contains your Taste Match score, which shows the percentage of musical tastes you both have in common. Then, share directly to Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, or Twitter.
- Once you've earned a Sense Match score, you'll have the opportunity to purchase the artist's featured merchandise through our integration with Shopify. All merchandise has been hand-picked by the artist himself and includes items such as t-shirts, vinyl albums, and more.
"Our mission is to build new opportunities for content creators to enjoy their work, and our greater partnership with Shopify makes it easier for artists to sell their merchandise on Spotify," the company said in its announcement.
Companies think that placing merchandise alongside the music experience will increase their buying opportunities and generate additional sales for creators.
