JAKARTA - Sad news has approached the world of Indonesian music. Senior musician Lies AR, guitar player and vocalist Dara Puspita passed away on Sunday, September 17 at 22:50.
The sad news was confirmed by Indonesian music observer Stanley Tulung through his Instagram account. He reported that Lies AR died at Gatoel Hospital, Mojokerto, East Java.
"Has passed away to the arms of the motherland of senior musician Lies AR (rhhythm guitar & vocalist Dara Puspita) at 22.50 at Gatoel Hospital, Mojokerto, East Java," Stanley Tulung wrote, seen Monday, September 18.
"Goodbye legend. May your path towards true prosperity," he continued.
Stanley also informed that the body of the late Lies AR would be brought to the Netherlands for burial.
"Additionally, the plan is for Lies AR's body to be brought to the Netherlands for burial there by the family," said Stanley Tulung.
For information, Dara Puspita is a band from Surabaya that all consists of women. This band is fronted by Titiek Adji Rachman, Lies Soetisnowati Adji Rachman, Titiek Hamzah, and Susy Nander.
Dara Puspita often performs rock and roll songs from British bands such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
The last time they appeared in the Synchronize Fest 2022 and performed many songs, one of which was 'Come Here' by Titiek Puspa which was arranged for rock and roll.
