Lim Young Woong Takes 5 Trophies for The Fact Music Awards 2023

JAKARTA - Trot singer Lim Young Woong is the biggest winner at The Fact Music Awards 2023. This awards event was held on Tuesday, October 10 2023 at Namdong Gymnasium, Incheon.

Competing with BTS, Lim Young Woong won the Artist of the Year, Best Music, Fan N Star Most Voted, Fan N Star Choice and Fan N Star Best Ads Awards.

Like Lim Young Woong, BTS also won five awards this year. BTS won Best Music, Fan N Star Most Voted, and Fan N Star Choice. Meanwhile Jimin and V won Idol Plus Popularity and Best Music.

K-pop group SEVENTEEN won the Daesang or highest award along with Bonsang as one of the Artist of the Year.

Lim Young Woong, who was present at the event, proved that his popularity in South Korea is beyond doubt. That night he performed his new song, Do or Die live.

Last week, Lim Young Woong released his newest song entitled Do or Die. This song immediately occupied the South Korean music charts at the top.

Lim Young Woong started his career as a trot singer in 2016 by participating in a competition on a television show. He released his first single entitled Hate You which was not well received by the public at that time.

His name began to skyrocket after he took part in the Mr. Trot in 2020. He became the winner out of 17,000 participants and his music is increasingly popular with the public.

He was also named the trot singer with the most wins on music shows in 14 years after Kang Jin.

On the other hand, Lim Young Woong will hold a concert tour entitled IM HERO in a number of cities in South Korea starting at the end of October.
