JAKARTA UFC President Dana White confirmed Conor McGregor's next fight was against Michael Chandler, not Justin Gaethje.

McGregor has recently been linked with a comeback to the octagon. He is rumored to be against Justin Gaethje, but Dana White then opened his voice and dismissed the news.

"He [Conor McGregor] will fight against Chandler," Dana White said as reported by The Sun.

Chandler, who is a former lightweight champion at Bellator three times, came close to fighting The Notorious in the octagon last February. However, the fight has not yet materialized as McGregor canceled his comeback.

White insisted that McGregor's recent abuse and curse on Twitter to Gaethje was nothing more than a mind game to influence Chandler.

"McGregor really likes to swear at anyone. You know what I mean? Especially his opponent or maybe his potential opponent," said White.

The delay in completing McGregor's comeback fight appears to be due to his absence from the United States Anti-Doping Agency test.

McGregor, 35, had to re-registered to the list for at least six months before he met the requirements to fight again even though the UFC could issue an exception for a written notification rule.

Although not re-entered the UFC drug test list, the first two-division champion in the organization insisted on fighting again.
