The Sad Leicester City, Relegated And Now Left Behind

JAKARTA - Leicester City will certainly be relegated to the Championship Division in the 2023/2024 season. A number of pillar players will also leave.

Leicester has confirmed seven players will leave the club in the summer. The reason is, their contracts will expire in June, including Caglar Soyuncu and Daniel Amartey.

Turkish defender Soyuncu joined in 2018 from Freiburg and has made more than 100 appearances for Leicester.

Meanwhile Amartey made his first appearance for the club during their Premier League title race season in 2016.

Youri Tielemans was also among those who left, after announcing his departure on Instagram last week.

He ended his four-year service with the club since joining from Monaco in 2019.

Mendy's Nampalys, Ryan Bertrand, Ayoze Perez and Tete are the remaining players who will leave King Power after their contract expires.

Captain Jonny Evans continues to discuss with The Foxes because his contract expires this month. Meanwhile, the option has been made to extend Hamza Choudhury's contract until June 2024.
