Europa League Group Stage Final Match Result Recap: MU Failed To The Round Of 16 Despite Winning

JAKARTA - The group stage of the Europa League officially ends on Friday, November 4, 2022, early in the morning WIB. Manchester United won this important match.

MU won 1-0 over hosts Real Sociedad in Group E. However, that victory failed to bring Erik ten Hag's team through to the last 16 of the 2022/2023 Europa League.

The Red Devils had to settle for second place despite having the same points as Real Sociedad. The reason, Premier League clubs lost head-to-head with their rivals.

Meanwhile, another Premier League club, Arsenal, managed to get a ticket to the last 16 thanks to a 1-0 win over FC Zurich in the last match.

The Gunners topped Group A with a collection of 15 points. They are two points ahead of PSV Eindhoven who has to go through the playoffs.

Positive results were also achieved by the Spanish La Liga club, Real Betis. They picked up a 3-0 win over HJK Helsinki and solidified their position at the top of Group C.
