With the fight fast approaching, the UFC puts out promotional material on social media and the fighters also share it and interact.

However, Chimaev was deemed to have crossed the line when he responded to an Instagram post from the official UFC account with a coffin emoji, insinuating that he was planning to kill Diaz in the octagon.

The Swedish fighter also posted the number 209, referring to the postal code of Stockton, California, where Diaz lives.

Chimaev was criticized for this, but all his post did was build extra hype for this fight.
