Man In Garnisun Hat Rejects Illegal Cafe Sealing By Satpol PP On The Edge Of Cakung Toll Road

East Jakarta Satpol PP sealed dozens of dimly lit cafes, massage parlors and nightclubs on the East Side of the Toll Road, Pulogebang, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Thursday, November 23, evening. The activity was met with resistance from one of the cafe owners.

In fact, one of the cafe owners admitted that his place of business was protected by officials. The cafe owner feels above the law because he is considered to have been protected by officers.

"This has a major, a cafe business. I don't want to be sealed," said the owner of the cafe in a black hat with the words Garnisun loudly to Satpol PP officers.

The owner of the Farel BJR cafe also refused to be sealed because he claimed to have a permit. However, after being checked by Satpol PP officers, it turned out that the permit owned was a car repair permit.

"Is there really all cafes that have permits? Nothing," he said.

The man with the earthquake continues to coordinate with the officers who are suspected of being the backing of the cafe business.

"Later, my major will go there (East Jakarta City Government Office)," he threatened.

Although the cafe owner claimed to have a backing, the Satpol PP officers who carried out the control continued to seal the cafe business without a permit.

"For the time being, we have sealed it because there is no permit. The permit is a car repair shop. We will stick the seal on it," said the Satpol PP officer at the illegal cafe control location in the Cakung area.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Satpol PP had begun to respond to public complaints about the rampant practice of prostitution under the guise of a massage parlor on the East Side of the Toll Road, Pulogebang, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

"As soon as possible, we will be TL (follow up on public reports)," said Head of East Jakarta Satpol PP, Budhy Novian to VOI, Wednesday, November 22.

Budhy said that regarding the place of business that the public complained about was the authority of the Tourism Office.

"We will take action together with the integrated team to monitor and take action against business premises from the tourism sector," he said.
