JAKARTA - A number of former leaders and employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) are shaving their hair bald in front of the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Thursday, November 23.

This action was carried out after KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri was named a suspect in the alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities from former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

From observations in the field, this action began with the presence of dozens of former employees and leaders to the KPK. They brought a number of posters and some wore Firli-faced masks and Syahrul Yasin Limpo complete with badminton and corn rackets.

There are a number of posters that they brought to criticize Firli's attitude. "I'm free to use my position," he wrote.

Among the masses were former Chairman of the KPK Abraham Samad and Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Bambang Widjojanto. Then, former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan and former Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum Yudi Purnomo were also seen.

The last two names are former employees who were eliminated from the KPK because they did not pass the national insight test (TWK) as a condition for changing status as state civil servants (ASN).

After conveying several things related to the importance of supervising Firli's case, Abraham Samad then shaved his hair. He said, this action as a symbol of the anti-corruption commission must be cleared of irresponsible people.

"People who have been destroying the dignity of the KPK so that the eradication of corruption can run again as it should," Samad told reporters after taking action.

After Abraham, then former KPK investigator Harun Al-Rasyid who was once claimed to be the King of OTT also participated in a similar action. Likewise with Novel Baswedan.

Then, Abraham and the former anti-corruption commission employee who joined the Indonesia Calling (IM) 57+ Institute distributed fried rice. It is known, Firli was synonymous with the dish because he once claimed to be good at making him even have a cooking demonstration at the KPK when he only served as chairman.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya has finished carrying out a case of alleged extortion or receiving gratuities from former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Firli was finally named a suspect.

Some of the evidence that became the basis for determining the suspect was witness testimony and electronic evidence. Meanwhile, the police have examined 91 people in this case.

They include Syahrul Yasin Limpo, former aide to Firli Bahuri, Kevin Egananta. Then, there is the Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar, Director of Dumas KPK Tomi Murtomo, as well as two former KPK leaders Saut Situmorang and M Jasin.
