Prosecutor's Office Receives 669 Land Mafia Reports

The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, revealed that the Prosecutor's Office had received 669 complaint reports related to the land mafia in the period 2022 to November 10, 2023.

"Of the total 669 complaint reports, 361 complaint reports have been followed up by 30 High Prosecutors' Offices. Meanwhile, another 308 complaint reports have been forwarded and are still in the process of waiting for supporting data," Sumedana said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

Sumedana then revealed that there were 25 reports that were forwarded to the General Crime Sector, 30 reports were forwarded to the Special Crimes Sector and 12 reports were forwarded to the Police.

Furthermore, there were 25 reports that were terminated because they could not be confirmed, 23 reports were terminated because no state losses were found, and 52 reports were terminated because they were not land mafia cases.

Furthermore, two reports are still in the mediation stage, two reports have been mediated, and 190 reports are still in the process of collecting data or gathering information.

The report on the land mafia complaint by the Prosecutor's Office is the result of a follow-up to the Attorney General's Order of the Republic of Indonesia Number: PRINT-8/A/JA/01/2022 dated January 17, 2022, concerning the Land Mafia Eradication Team.
