SOUTH KALIMANTAN - A man with the initials SB (49) was arrested with 5.51 grams of crystal methamphetamine in his house in Sungai Pumpung Village, Awayan District, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

"In the investigation and prosecution operation by the Satreskoba and the Awayan Police, they managed to secure the perpetrators of narcotics abuse with evidence of trying 5.51 grams and one ecstasy pill," said Balangan Police Chief AKBP Riza Muttaqin in Balangan, Friday, September 22, confiscated by Antara.

Riza said, it was known that SB's actions in running his illicit business were smelled by the Kotabaru Police when he arrested a buyer of methamphetamine in the jurisdiction of the Kotabaru Police.

When questioned, the perpetrator admitted that he bought the illicit goods from SB, who is a resident of Balangan Regency.

The police chief continued from this information, personnel from the Balangan Police Satreskoba combined with the Awayan Police Sector conducted searches and arrests at the suspect SB's house in Sungai Pumpung Village.

"During a search of the suspect and witnessed by the head of the local RT, officers managed to find the evidence in the perpetrator's trouser pocket," explained Riza.

Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Balangan Police, Iptu Popo Hartopo, added that the alleged perpetrator SB was suspected of Article 114 Paragraph (2) sub-Article 112 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.

Popo revealed that the alleged perpetrator has currently undergone an investigation process by his party, further investigations to reveal more information about the drug network that may be involved continue to be carried out in the field.

According to Popo, this operation is proof of our commitment to eradicating narcotics trafficking in the Balangan area, and his party will continue to take firm action against the perpetrators.
