TANGERANG In the aftermath of a long dry season, a number of areas in South Tangerang (Tangsel) experienced drought. To meet water needs, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) provides clean water for residents.

It is known that as many as 320 families (KK) in Kranggan Village, Setu, South Tangerang are willing to queue long to get clean water provided by BPBD.

Head of Emergency and Logistics of South Tangerang BPBD Faridzal Gumay said this activity had been carried out since this afternoon on Thursday, September 14.

"Alhamdulillah, service to the community together with PDAM Serpong for clean water and free of charge," said Gumay when confirmed, Thursday, August 14.

Gumay said that his party will continue to provide clean water for residents affected by this dry season. However, the service will run if there is a request from the local RT/RW.

"It will be done if there is a request from the RT through the village. There are 10 RTs totaling 700 families who apply for clean water due to drought," said Kranggan Village Head, Madih to reporters, Thursday, September 14.

Madih, Lurah Kranggan, explained the reason his area experienced a lack of clean water because the soil contour was in its place, so that when the dry season hit, there was a drought.

"For land contours in Kelurahan Keranggan, there have been many excavations, maybe that is the cause of the rapid drought," he said.

He hopes that clean water assistance will continue until its citizens do not experience the drought as it is today.
