5 Teenagers With Sickles Arrested By Police During A Brawl At Pasar Minggu

A total of five teenage brawlers on Jalan Warung Jati, Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta, were arrested by the South Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team on Sunday, August 6.

"The five perpetrators had the initials DD (17), MKR (23), ANF (17), MZA (17), and PAP (18). They were arrested while fighting," said Head of Samapta South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Ghulam Nabhi to reporters, Sunday, August 6.

During the search, the police confiscated sharp weapons of the type of sickle, wood and a number of stones that were suspected to be used for brawls.

"The perpetrators were arrested when the precision pioneering patrol team carried out large-scale active patrols to anticipate the rampant brawls of residents in the Warung Jati area, Pasar Minggu District," he said.

The perpetrators launched a brawl through invitations on Instagram social media. This was said by one of the arrested perpetrators.

"It was admitted by one of the perpetrators that they received an invitation to fight through an Instagram account. Then 5 youths and evidence were taken to the Pasar Minggu Police," he said.
