"KPK's actions to refuse cooperation in this case are actually further confirming the suspicion that maladministration and arbitrary actions have indeed occurred in the process of dismissing Brigadier General Endar Priantoro from the KPK," said IM57+ Institute Chair Praswad Nugraha to reporters, Wednesday, May 31. Praswad said that the KPK seemed to choose to answer the Ombudsman's summons without any intention of clarifying. Firli Bahuri as the KPK leader and the reported party are also considered not to comply with the law. Moreover, the anti-corruption commission seemed to question the authority of the Ombudsman when responding to the summons of the institution. The Indonesian Ombudsman previously assessed that the KPK was uncooperative when asked for information on the alleged maladministration of the removal of Brigadier General Endar Priantoro as Director of Investigation. In fact, this institution has sent letters twice addressed to KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri and KPK Secretary General Cahya H. Harefa.
