Vehicle Volume In Kalikangkung Semarang Increases, Police Apply One Way

The Kalikangkung Semarang Toll Gate Security Post recorded 43,555 vehicles passing out to the west or Jakarta since the one-way route or one-way was implemented on Monday night until Tuesday, April 25.

Head of the Kalikangkung Semarang Toll Gate Security Post, Iptu Rudyanto, said that since the one-way route was implemented on Monday, April 24 at 14:45 WIB, the number of vehicles passing out to the west or Jakarta had reached 6,301 vehicles.

"This number has decreased slightly until midnight with the average vehicle passing between 2,400 and 2,700 vehicles per hour," Rudyanto told ANTARA, Tuesday, April 25.

The flow of vehicles began to decrease from midnight to Tuesday at 06.00 WIB, which recorded 7,223 passing vehicles.

Rudy said the flow increased again from 06.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB, there were 10,037 passing vehicles.

"In general, traffic flow at the Kalikangkung toll gate is busy running smoothly," he said.

Meanwhile, the one-way route to the west or Jakarta from the Kalikangkung Semarang toll gate has been extended.

Due to the police discretion, the one-way route which was supposed to end on Monday 24 at 24.00 WIB was extended, because it was predicted that there would still be an increase in the number of vehicles during the Lebaran backflow.
