NTB Inspectorate Forms Audit Team to Count Corruption Losses at KONI Dompu

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Inspectorate formed an audit team to calculate state losses in the case of alleged corruption in grant funds from the Dompu Regency Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI).

NTB Inspectorate Inspectorate Ibnu Salim revealed the formation of this audit team was the inspectorate's commitment to supporting law enforcement efforts to eradicate corruption in NTB.

"We have formed an audit team and are now coordinating with prosecutor investigators to take steps to calculate state losses", said Ibnu in Mataram, reported by Antara, Thursday, January 12.

The results of the investigators' findings confirmed that Ibnu would become material for the audit team to carry out the calculations. In this process, the audit team is also scheduled to go down in the field and make inquiries of the relevant parties.

"To obtain standard audit results like that, coordination, fieldwork, then audit. However, we will see this later in the process. Look at the scope of the problem. Hopefully, in a short time, everything can be completed quickly", he said.

Previously, the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Ely Rahmawati, said that investigators, in this case, had pocketed a potential state loss of IDR 3 billion. This value is obtained from the results of independent calculations.

Even though he has already obtained the value of the potential loss, Ely is convinced that the results of the inspectorate will later strengthen the evidence.

"That (IDR 3 billion) is just a potential. The final result, we are still waiting for the inspectorate audit", said Ely.

In the process of completing the investigation file, the prosecutor's office searched. There are two locations, the Office of the Dompu Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) and the Dompu Education, Youth, and Sports Office (Dikpora).

The search was led directly by the Coordinator for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Burhanudin. The team from the NTB Attorney General's Office came down accompanied by the Head of Intelligence at the Attorney General's Office Dompu Indra Julkarnain.

Several important documents related to the distribution of grant funds to KONI Dompu have been confiscated. The process of distributing grant funds, which was discovered through the Dompu BPKAD and the Dompu Dikpora, was the reason for the search.

Regarding the search that was carried out in mid-June 2022, Ely ensured that investigators had included the results in the completeness of evidence.

This has also been followed up in the witness examination process. Regarding the series, it is certain that Ely has completed it.

This case of alleged corruption in grant funds relates to the management in 2018-2021 for coaching sports and preparation for the implementation of the NTB Provincial Sports Week in 2018.
