In addition, the Regional Police Chief is also advised to immediately adapt and carry out early detection of things that could be potential disturbances, then always coordinate with traditional leaders, religions, and local community leaders.

The Regional Police Chief reminded always to maintain the cohesiveness and solidity of the TNI-Police, maintain the good name of the Police institution and avoid actions that can reduce the image of the Police.

In his directive, the Regional Police Chief said that based on Law Number 46 of 1999 concerning the formation of North Maluku Province, we were mandated to make Sofifi the provincial capital.

Therefore, the North Maluku Police are given the responsibility to move from the Mako Regional Police in Ternate to the Sofifi Police Headquarters to support the acceleration of infrastructure development in the capital city.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the North Maluku Police, Commissioner Michael Irwan Thamsil said, the Regional Police carrying out activities in Sofifi was the seriousness of the North Maluku Police to provide the best service for the community and encourage the acceleration of the development of the provincial capital.

In addition, Geographically, the location of the Sofifi Police Headquarters is very strategic, because it is directly connected to five regencies/cities, namely Tikep, Halteng, Haltim, Halbar, and Halut, making it easier for personnel to monitor and work in the maintenance of Kamtibmas.

"Of course, there are still many things that need to be improved and prepared to start from official housing, availability of clean water, networks to support the duties of the Police, hopefully, everything that exists will be fulfilled soon so that the implementation of the task can run well", he said.
