Successfully Breaking The World Record For Non-Stop Flying With Paramotor, Russian Adventurers Targets Crossing The White Sea To The Black Sea

JAKARTA - A true adventurer will not be satisfied and stop with what he has achieved. This is also what Russian adventurers seem to believe, despite the success of breaking the world record flying with a paramotor.

World-famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov and pilot Igor Potapkin, successfully flew 631.2 kilometers on a paramotor in a straight line without landing, breaking the previous record of 204.2 kilometers in non-stop flight on June 8.

"Wayfarer Fyodor Konyukhov and internationally recognized master of sports Igor Potapkin, set a new world record for non-stop flight on a paramotor, covering a distance of 631.2 km in 7 hours and 52 minutes," expedition chief and adventurer son Oskar Konyukhov told TASS, as quoted June 11.

The previous world record for paramotor flights was set by Polish pilot Krzysztof Romicki, who flew 427 kilometers on the Krakov-Zakrzewo route in 2018.

Interestingly, despite the success of breaking the world record, Konyukhov and Potapkin are getting ready for a new flight record. This time from the White Sea to the Black Sea, from Arkhangelsk to Novorossiysk.

They intend to cover 3.000 kilometers in two and a half weeks on a two-seater paramotor. The flight is designed to be carried out in a variety of meteorological conditions, at an altitude of between ten meters and two kilometers, depending on the wind.
