Batam Ministry Of Religion Records 529 Locations Used For Eid Prayers

BATAM - Batam City Ministry of Religion Office, Riau Islands, recorded the number of locations for Eid prayers at 1443 Hijriah as many as 529 points, a decrease compared to last year's 570 points.

"This year the number of prayer points has decreased slightly because it is focused on being carried out in the field", said Head of the Batam City Ministry of Religion, Zulkarnain in Batam, Antara, Sunday, May 1.

For the most points, there are in Batam City District, as many as 83 points, Bengkong District there are 62 points, Sagulung District 66 points, Batuaji District 38 points, Bulang District has 21 points, Galang District has 44 points.

Then Nongsa District has 37 points, Sei Beduk District has 38 points, Lubuk Baja District has 28 points, Batuampar District has 41 points, Sekupang District has 41 points, and Behindpadang District has 30 points.

The Ministry of Religion asked the congregation who will carry out the Eid prayer to continue implementing health protocols, such as wearing masks and bringing their own prayer equipment.

"To avoid spreading, bring your own prayer tools. Congregants are required to wear masks. The committee will also adjust the distance between the staff according to the existing rules", he said.

Currently, the number of active cases of COVID-19 in Batam City is only 1 person, based on data from the Batam City COVID-19 Task Force.
