Jokowi's Book Towards Light By Alberthiene Endah Released In Today's Memory, December 13, 2018

JAKARTA Memories of today, six years ago, December 13, 2018, Indonesia's famous writer, Alberthiene Endah released a book entitled Jokowi Towards Light. The book's launch was also attended by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and a number of public officials.

Previously, Jokowi's many humanist sides had not been told to many people. How close Jokowi is to the people, his closeness to poverty, to the story behind the blusukan study. Endah tries to capture Jokowi's humanist side through a book.

Life is difficult to produce a strong figure. That is an important picture of Jokowi's figure. He is indeed a simple figure. His family is not involved in politics. Poor too. Jokowi himself never even thought of becoming a public official.

This condition is because little Jokowi lives mediocre. He is only a person who lives on the banks of Kali Anyar, Surakarta. At that time dreaming of being tall was not an easy thing. However, the economy is difficult not to make Jokowi's parents stop sending their children.

Jokowi also felt the joy of studying in school. He began to like it. He entered SMA 6 Surakarta. In fact, his achievements stood out at school. He is often the overall champion. This achievement made him able to get an education in the Kayu Technology department, Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University (UGM).

Jokowi's success story continues. Jokowi was able to become an exporter of wood products abroad. He studied the intricacies of the business world. He also observed how the furniture industry can support many families in Indonesia.

Jokowi also continues to maintain his simplicity. He is not adventurous about style. He tries to live life as it is. However, fate surprisingly led Jokowi to become a public official.

Jokowi was able to become the Mayor of Surakarta from the 2005-2012 era, the Governor of DKI Jakarta 2012-2014, to the President of Indonesia. Jokowi's leadership also brings admiration. He has a distinctive style in spending on people's problems: Blusukan.

The people will definitely support Jokowi's intention to stay blusukan after his inauguration as president, 20 October. The style of going in and out of the village is indeed effective approaching the community down to the lowest level. Jokowi's inspirational story also attracted the famous Indonesian writer, Alberthiene Endah, to share Jokowi's story. Endah tries to formulate the story of childhood, wisdom, and ideals of the leader from Solo.

At its peak, a book entitled Jokowi Towards Light was present. The book was released by the Mulia Hotel, Senayan, Jakarta on December 13, 2018. In particular, the release of the book was attended directly by Jokowi himself. Jokowi is happy that he is not playing with appreciation in the form of a book.

Endah hopes that her book can motivate the Indonesian people to always have hope. He also invited the people to make Jokowi a role model. Because, Jokowi's figure has a great appeal to be an example.
