There Is An Agreement With The Hamas-Israel Armistice, IDF Chief Of Staff: We Have Not Ended The War

JAKARTA - Israeli Chief of Staff Defense Forces (IDF) Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said his party had not ended the war and would continue to win, despite a four-day ceasefire agreement with Hamas militants.

Israel and Hamas with Qatari and US mediators agreed to release 50 hostages in Gaza in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners, with a ceasefire in place during the process, which is expected to last for four days. "We are trying to link the purpose of war, so that pressure from ground operations produces the ability to achieve this war goal, to create conditions for the release of kidnapped hostages," told its commanders while visiting Gaza, reported The Times of Israel November 23.

"We haven't ended the war. We will continue until we win, go and continue in other Hamas areas," he added.

Yesterday, Lt. Gen. Halevi also visited Israeli reserve forces in Gaza, saying the importance of land operations they carried out.

"You should know that your work on land maneuvers also creates better conditions to take the hostages home," the IDF wrote on social media X.

At a press conference late Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also denied rumors that a temporary cessation of fighting would end the fight against Hamas.

"Israeli, I want to make it clear, the war is still continuing. The war continues. We will continue until we reach all our goals: Return all hostages, eliminate Hamas. Gaza is no longer a threat to Israel," Prime Minister Netanyahu quoted All Israel as saying.

It is known that the implementation of the agreement to release hostages and detainees as well as the Hamas-Israel ceasefire, which was originally expected to start today, will be postponed no later than Friday.
