Extortion Of Immigration Services At Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali Attorney General's Office Seize CCTV Footage And Cash
BALI - The Bali High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) confiscated a number of evidences in the case of alleged illegal levies (extortion) on the fast track service or immigration fast lane at the Class I Immigration Office Special for TPI I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali.
Head of the Legal Information Section of the Bali Prosecutor's Office, Putu Agus Eka Sabana Putra, said that the confiscated evidence included Rp100 million in cash and CCTV camera footage that could not be submitted because they still had to ask for information from experts.
"Regarding the results of the CCTV decoder that was confiscated, the experts have not examined it. Of course, the results of the CCTV inspection will be known after an examination by an expert," he said in Denpasar, Bali, Friday, November 17, which was confiscated by Antara.
In addition, the Bali Attorney General's Office also confiscated documents for the business process of visiting visas during the arrival of electronic or Visa On Arrival (e-VOA), five cellphones, one immigration check pocket at the Class I Immigration Office Special for TPI Ngurah Rai as well as documents from the Program and Reporting team of the Secretary of the Directorate General of Immigration (SESDI-GENERAL).
"All the evidence has been requested to determine the confiscation of the Chairman of the Corruption Court at the Denpasar District Court," said Eka.

In this case, the Bali Attorney General's Office, apart from confiscating evidence, has also examined witnesses. In the near future, a number of other witnesses related to this case will also be questioned.
"Regarding who has been questioned, we will inform you later so as not to interfere with the investigation," said Eka.
Earlier on Tuesday, November 14, the Bali Attorney General's Office arrested five people related to the misuse of immigration fast lane services. One of the five people, namely Haryo Seto as Head of Examination Section I of the Special Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai, has been named a suspect and detained at the Class IIA Kerobokan Prison, Badung.
According to the statement from the Assistant for Special Crimes at the Bali Attorney General's Office, Dedy Kurniawan, extortion at the immigration fast lane service reached Rp100-Rp200 million per month.
