JAKARTA - Erika Carlina plays one of the figures of Srimulat, Djudjuk Djariah in the film Srimulat: Life Indeed Comedy. For this role, Erika is required to increase her body weight to 10 kilograms and be fluent in Javanese to play the film Srimulat: Life Indeed Comedy.
The girl who was born on August 10, 1993, was even only given 3 months to increase her weight. "In this film, the heavy one for me has to increase 10 kilograms, within three months," he said after the premiere of the film at Epicentrum XXI, Jakarta, Monday.
The woman who is also a model admits that it is difficult to increase her body weight due to her stomach and small intestines. Even though he is not healthy, he is forced to eat instant noodles mixed with rice with quite frequent intensity in the morning.
"So it's not only for deepening my own character, but also physically I really try to be similar to the figure of Mrs. Djudjuk, every three weeks the Nutritionist examines," Erika said as quoted by ANTARA.
Furthermore, Erika, who grew up in Jakarta, said that she had also experienced difficulties in a role that almost fully used Javanese, including her accent.
According to him, Javanese is not as easy as imagined. Erika and other players must also undergo a special session to learn Javanese with the coaches provided, in order to maximize the appearance of the characters played.
"Sometimes we can have an accent, but the way to memorize it is not like that," explained Erika.
Luckily, during the shooting process, Erika was close to a Javanese-blooded man, whom she did not name.
