Minister Hadi Calls Through State Agrarian Reform Pay Attention To Farmers
JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto emphasized that the state pays attention to the fate of Gum farmers and farm laborers through the agrarian reform program.
Hadi emphasized this when he handed over a land redistribution certificate for the former Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) to 195 farmers in Gunung Anten Village, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency, Banten, Friday, October 27.
"This is proof that the state pays attention to smallholders, farmers, who can now smile because of the state's presence in the agrarian reform program," he said, confiscated by Antara.
Hadi handed over 12 land certificates for the joint ownership rights scheme (communal) to 195 farmers who are members of the Banten Farmers Movement Community (P2B). The land area of 127.80 hectares was previously controlled by the private sector.
However, the HGU cannot be extended because the use of land in the location is not in accordance with its designation based on the permit given. The land was then controlled by the community and used as a source of livelihood since 2011.
The land was also proposed as a Land Object of Agrarian Reform (TORA) where through a series of processes, the TORA redistribution certificate this Friday was handed over to the cultivators community.
Hadi emphasized that agrarian reforms do not stop with the issuance of land certificates. The government in collaboration with a number of parties also continues to encourage efforts to improve the community's economy, namely with technical training on the cultivation of cavendish bananas.
Companies that work together will later become off-taker bananas grown on redistribution land.
"Congratulations on the success of Lebak farmers who received this long-awaited land rights certificate," he said.

On the same occasion, Secretary General of the Dewi Kartika Agrarian Reform Consortium (KPA) welcomed the resolution of the agrarian conflict in Lebak, Banten.
"With the completion of this agrarian conflict, after this, farmers in Mount Anten no longer need to worry about defending their land rights because there is recognition of the land they are working on," he said.
Dewi highlighted the provision of land certificates with a communal scheme or joint property so that land ownership can be maintained and sustainable.
"This is history for the KPA struggle. Farmers have joint property rights to ensure land ownership is maintained and sustainable," he said.
