Detachment 88 Police Arrest Suspected 28-Year-Old Terrorist In Sambas West Kalimantan

The Joint Team of the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police arrested a man suspected of being a terrorist in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan (Kalbar).

"Yes, at around 06.00 WIB, one man was arrested and is currently still under development," said Head of Public Relations of the West Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol Raden Petit when contacted Thursday, October 19, confiscated by Antara.

The arrest of the suspected terrorist with the initials UH (28) was carried out by the National Police Anti-terror Detachment 88 Team in Semparuk Village, Semparuk District, Sambas Regency.

The suspected terrorist in daily life in this area is a motorcycle taxi driver.

Regarding terrorism, while leading the Ceremony to Hold the Brata Kapuas Operations Forces 2023, the West Kalimantan Police Chief said that terrorism was a serious concern ahead of the 2024 General Election.

"This reflects on the holding of the 2019 Election, there are six acts of terror attacks and that should not occur in the 2024 General Election," he said.
