NasDem Asks To Respect The Legal Process And Denies Corruption Instruction
The NasDem Party DPP denied the accusation that the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, had given instructions to cadres to commit acts of corruption and donate the proceeds to the party. Ahmad Sahroni, the General Treasurer of the NasDem DPP, stated that neither himself nor the General Chair had ever given such instructions, especially in the case involving Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
" Neither I nor the general chairman have ever ordered anything like that, especially in the case involving Syahrul Yasin Limpo," he said in Jakarta, Saturday, October 14.
He invited all parties to respect the ongoing legal process at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and asked that there be no justification that NasDem had given instructions to Syahrul Yasin Limpo to commit acts of corruption and donate funds to the party.
"We follow the process and do not justify that the party orders corruption and deposits to the treasurer of political parties," he said.
Ahmad Sahroni explained that the donation that Syahrul Yasin Limpo had given to the party through the general treasurer was only Rp. 20 million for natural disaster assistance.
The NasDem Party supports the KPK in its efforts to enforce the law in cases involving their cadres and hopes that cases of alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture can be clearly revealed.

Ahmad Sahroni also regretted the statement from the KPK leader, Alexander Marwata, which stated that there was a flow of corruption funds entering the party. According to him, this statement should not be made public and has become a political issue, especially ahead of the election.
"There should be a series that should not be opened in public spaces. Moreover, this is approaching the election and building our image, this is a rotten party," he said.
Previously, Alexander Marwata said that there was a large flow of funds from the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, to the NasDem Party. SYL himself has been named a suspect in the alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture and detained by the KPK.
"So far, it has also been found that the flow of money usage as ordered by SYL is aimed at the interests of the NasDem Party with a value of billions of rupiah and the KPK will continue to explore," said Marwata.
