Chronology Of Student Dies Jumping In UMY Campus Women's Dormitory
YOGYAKARTA - The world of education in Yogyakarta was shocked by the death of a student at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) in the University Residence (Univers) Putri dormitory, last Monday.

According to Faris, the chronology of the death of student S, began when Ustadz Talqis Nurdianto, had just finished filling out a coaching program for female residents of Unires Putri. Not long after, Ustadz Talqis heard the sound of people screaming, the sound of a roof falling, and a voice resembling a falling object.
After being examined, it was found that the victim was covered with the position of the left hand under the stomach and right hand over the head with the condition of the victim still wearing sleeping clothes.
"After being lifted and moved to another place with the cleaning service staff, it is known that the deceased still has a pulse in her hands and neck," Faris continued.
At 06.20 Ustadz Talqis together with the security guard and the older brother of the Unires coach immediately took the deceased to the PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. Arriving at the PKU Gamping Emergency Room at 06.30, an action was immediately taken by installing medical equipment.
"At 06.45 the doctor stated that the deceased had died. The doctor gave additional information that the deceased had a history of illness, because in the evening the deceased had visited PKU Gamping Hospital with complaints of stomach pain after taking headache drugs and other psychological problems," he continued.
Faris said the doctor had examined and recommended further consultation with a psychiatrist.
UMY itself through the management of Unires, the Institute for Islamic Studies and Empowerment (LPPI), the Student and Alumni Development Institute (LPKA), and the Communication Science Study Program, have communicated with the nearest police and doctors at PKU Gamping.
"The campus has contacted the parents of the deceased and expressed their deep condolences. This afternoon, the father of the deceased has arrived in Yogyakarta. UMY will facilitate the entire process of handling and hospital costs, as well as providing death compensation, including facilitating the return of the body to his hometown," he said.
Faris added that before he died, the campus through LPKA had recorded the deceased as a new student who needed special assistance.
Given the medical history of the deceased before entering as an UMY student. The Psychologist team assisted by Kokolih Sebaya who was assigned to have provided assistance and provided referrals for further consultation.
