BATAM - Kapolresta Barelang Kombes Pol Nugroho Tri Nuryanto continues to urge the public not to block the running of security personnel who will enter the Rempang Area, Batam.
Through loudspeakers, the Nugroho Police Chief requested that the people of Pulau Rempang who blocked the entrance to the area could retreat regularly. Given that the actions taken have violated the rule of law.
"To my brothers and sisters, I remind you that what you are doing has violated the law. We ask you not to act anarchically, we will not hesitate to take firm action, if you are still fighting," said the Police Chief on Pulau Rempang as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 7.
Head of the Public Relations Bureau for Promotion and Protocol of BP Batam Ariastuty Sirait explained that the development of this Rempang area will involve the local community.
Therefore, his party invites the public not to be influenced by negative information that has circulated from irresponsible people.
"BP Batam has said that the rights of the people affected by development have been considered. Hopefully, the public can understand it," he said.
Until now, joint officers with complete attributes are still guarding the area while continuing to fire tear gas to disperse residents blocking the road.

At the location, residents who refused tried to expel officers in various ways.
Some cut down large trees and blocked roads, burned tires in the middle of the road, used catapults filled with stones, threw stones and even threw Molotov cocktails at the officers.
