Google Suddenly Raises Nest Aware Subscription Plan Prices
JAKARTA - Google is starting to increase the subscription price for cloud-based recording services on Nest cameras, namely Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus.
In an email to its customers, Google reminded that the Nest Aware price has become 8 US dollars (Rp121 thousand) per month, which was previously only 6 US dollars (Rp91 thousand), and 80 US dollars (Rp 1.2 million) for each year.
This new price is the first increase in video recording since 2020. With that, users still get a 30-day event history, which is recorded when the camera detects something at home.
While on Nest Aware Plus, which doubles the video history of events from 30 to 60 days and adds a video history of 24/7, up from $12 (182 thousand) per month or $120 (IDR 1.8 million) per year to 15 US dollars (IDR 228) per month or 150 US dollars (IDR 2.2 million) per year.
Both new prices also apply to new customers. On the other hand, customers in the US, UK, and Australia will see the changes on November 6.
Other countries will reportedly be notified 30 days before price increases. Unfortunately, Google did not explain the reasons behind the price increase in its emails to customers.
