Cak Imin Reminds Gus Dur's Mandate Again

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the DPP National Awakening Party, Muhaimin Iskandar, reminded again the mandate of Kiai Haji Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur on the commemoration of the 14th anniversary of the founders of PKB.

"Gus Dur has mandated several things, including the principles of God, humanity, nationality, democracy, and justice," he said at the PKB DPP office, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 4.

Muhaimin emphasized that the mandate is absolute and must be fought for by all PKB cadres.

He said Gus Dur was everyone's inspiration and motivation. In addition, PKB cadres believe that the party's legacy can bring hope and ideals to Gus Dur.

"Congratulations to fight for all my friends, may you be the heir to Gus Dur's dreams and struggles. Hopefully PKB will remain istikamah in the path of struggle inherited by Kiai Haji Abdurrahman Wahid," Muhaimin said.

The PKB DPP commemorated the 14th Anniversary of KH Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur who died on December 30, 2009 or 14th Muharam 1431 Hijriah. The anniversary was also attended by KH Said Aqil Siradj and a number of figures as well as kiai from Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

"This haul should have been held on Monday, 14 Muharam, as in previous years, where the PKB DPP carried out the haul on a hijri calendar," said Muhaimin.
