Twitter Blue Now Provides Options To Hide Blue Tick
JAKARTA - Twitter Blue, which is currently rebranded to X Blue by its owner, Elon Musk, now includes an option to hide the famous blue tick. Twitter Blue subscribers have recently started paying attention to the "hide your blue tick" option on websites and mobile apps, allowing them to hide that they are paying to subscribe to Twitter and avoiding memes about how "this person pays for Twitter."
"Blue spots will be hidden on your profile and posts," noted a Twitter support article. "Blue spots may still appear in some places and some features may keep revealing that you have an active subscription. Some features may not be available when your blue tick is hidden."
Previously, Twitter used a blue tick verification system to recognize or validate accounts, but when Elon Musk started allowing anyone to "verify" via Blue subscription, it took a moment to mess with fake accounts.
Then everyone immediately realized who paid to be verified on Twitter before Twitter finally removed the blue tick from the heritage verified account and changed the verification check view several times. Blue Tick is also given to users with one million or more followers.

If you subscribe to Twitter Blue, the service will now add an optional blue tick to your profile with a "verified since" date attached. The legacy verified account including the account date was originally verified on Twitter before the Blue subscription system.
Twitter owner Elon Musk is currently rebranding the service to X in a bid to create "anaplications of everything" that will likely include some form of a payment system in the future.
Small blue birds disappeared last week, replacing with the "interim" X logo that briefly appeared on top of the Twitter office building in San Francisco in the form of a luxurious flagship and flickering X. There are still many places where X refers to Twitter, and even the X Blue subscription page mentions as many Twitter Blues.
