SUKABUMI - Joint officers from the Sukabumi City Police Detective and Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) and Sukalarang Police arrested dozens of motorcycle gang members from two different groups for making them restless and caught carrying sharp weapons."We arrested 16 members of the motorcycle gang, I came from two different gangs, namely GBR (Grab On The Road) and XTC (Exalt to Coitus)," said Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP Ari Setyawan Wibowo in Sukabumi, Antara, Sunday, July 16.According to Ari, five members of the GBR motorcycle gang were arrested in front of a workshop in Semplak Village, Sukalarang District, Sukabumi Regency, while 11 XTC motorcycle gang members were arrested while hanging out at a school in Ciandam Village, Cibeureum District, Sukabumi City on Sunday morning.The arrest of the motorized gang was when his party held an enhanced routine activity (KRYD) to provide a sense of security to the community.From the hands of members of the motorcycle gang, his party confiscated a number of sharp weapons that were allegedly used to commit criminal acts.Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sukabumi City Police, AKP Yanto Sudiarto, said that of the 16 members of the motorcycle gang who were arrested, seven of them were named suspects because they were caught possessing or carrying sharp weapons of the type of sickle, Patimura sword, large iron comb and machetes.Nine other motorcycle gang members are only given guidance and are given mandatory reporting sanctions for two months."Seven motorcycle gang members named as suspects, three of whom are members of the GBR motorcycle gang with the initials ARP (18) ARA (18) and NA (19) who are currently undergoing the investigation process at the Sukalarang Police Criminal Investigation Unit, while four others are members of the XTC motorcycle gang, each with the initials AA (23), RA (25), MP (21) and IM (21) whose cases are handled by the Sukabumi City Police Satreskrim," said Yanto.
As a result of his actions, seven young men who are members of a motorcycle gang are threatened with 10 years in prison in accordance with Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951.
