Announcement! Tickets To Watch Lantern Release At Borobudur Temple Can Still Be Purchased
Ticket sales watching the release of the lanterns at the peak of the 2023 Vesak celebration at Borobudur are still open. Visitors can buy tickets directly at the event location or on the spot through the Borobudur Maingate. Ticket sales will open at 17.00 WIB.
The total ticket provided by PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney through PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (TWC) is 5,000. However, the remaining quota until Saturday afternoon was only 1,000 tickets.
"You can buy tickets on the spot, so at 5 o'clock there will be an entrance ticket for those who want to watch it at a price of IDR 50,000," said TWC's Director of Marketing, Services and Business Development, Hetty Herawati, when met in the Borobudur area, Sunday, June 4.
Hetti said the number of lanterns to be released at the peak of this year's Waisak celebration was 2,567 lanterns. This number is adjusted to the number of years of the Vesak celebration.

Furthermore, Hetti explained that InJourney and TWC prepared scenarios so that Buddhists who worship can be solemn. Hetti said, people can enjoy tourism at Borobudur Temple without disturbing the worshipers.

TWC itself coordinates with the Ministry of Education and Culture's Museum and Cultural Heritage, closing visits in courtyards or temple pages to ride the Borobudur Temple monument for tourists.
