Police Investigate The Stalled Case Of The Muria Kudus University Foundation Hospital Project
The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police is investigating allegations of embezzlement of funds for a hospital building project belonging to the Muria Kudus University Foundation which cost the institution up to Rp24 billion.
Director of the Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police, Kombes Dwi Subagio, said the alleged embezzlement occurred between 2012 and 2016. Three people have been named as suspects.
"The MA, which is an outside party of the foundation, is a planner and LR and Z are the administrators of the foundation," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 24.
According to him, the construction of the hospital building belonging to the Muria Kudus University Foundation has so far stalled.
"New development is limited to foundations and stakeposts," he added.
The three suspects, he said, enjoyed Rp24 billion in money belonging to the embezzled foundation.

In addition, he continued, the three suspects were charged with Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering because the embezzled money allegedly flowed to several parties.
The suspects whose files were complete and immediately transferred to the public prosecutor were charged with Article 374 of the Criminal Code concerning Embezzlement.
