Damaged Roads In Antang Makassar Improved, Open Close System Implemented
South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said that there was a diversion of lanes or an open-close system during the work on the Antang section, Makassar, South Sulawesi.
"During the work period, it is done to open and close or divert traffic lanes. Therefore, we apologize for the traffic disruption," said Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 20.
The Governor of South Sulawesi also hopes for community support, for smooth running so that it can be completed as planned soon as possible.
This road section is one of the priority focuses of Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman to be handled in stages.
Given that this road section is categorized as heavily damaged and high LHR, so that with the construction of this road, it will facilitate the mobility of goods and services.
"Alhamdulillah, there is the progress of the reconstruction of the Antang Raya road in Makassar City. Currently, it is in the middle of the decomposition stage of the working floor," he said.
This stage was carried out before being handled with the hardening of the concrete road (Rigid).
In addition to road reconstruction, he said, improvements will be carried out to the drainage system around the Antang Raya road.

Previously, the Chairman of Commission E of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of South Sulawesi Province, Rahman Pina, appreciated the South Sulawesi Provincial Government which continues to be committed to infrastructure development including road handling in Antang, Makassar.
He considered that one of the priorities policies was the Governor's commitment to continue building roads.
According to Rahman Pina, it is impossible for the South Sulawesi Regional Budget to be able to complete all damaged road infrastructure, but at least consistency is needed to ensure that the people's needs are met.
"One of the Governor's policies that we must support is to be consistent in building road infrastructure and it is shown by the Governor of South Sulawesi regarding Jalan Antang Makassar," he said.
