Ambassador Fawziya Al-Sulaiti Meets Ganjar Pranowo In Semarang, Discuss Road Ride Qatar

JAKARTA - Qatar's Ambassador to Indonesia HE Fawziya Edrees Salman Al-Sulaiti, met with Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo at the Central Java Governor's Office, Semarang City.

Fawziya Al-Sulaiti explained that his meeting with Ganjar was to discuss Qatar-Indonesia's cooperation, especially with Central Java in the fields of investment, education and economy.

Fawziya Al-Sulaiti said, Central Java is an area with high opportunities for cooperation with Qatar.

"We see this as a good opportunity in this and also we see future cooperation in the fields of investment, education and other fields such as economy and trading," said Fawziya after the meeting.

Fawziya added that the meeting also discussed the 'Qatar-Indonesia Year of Culture 2023' event which will be held in Borobudur and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).

The activity is also planned to 'road ride' with the Yogyakarta-Borobudur route. Later, the 'road ride' will involve hundreds of cyclists from Qatar and Indonesia.

"We discussed how the cooperation program between the two countries is running and we hope for success for both of them. We are also talking about Qatar's road ride," explained Fawziya.

Meanwhile, Ganjar stated that he fully supports the implementation of Qatar-Indonesia Year of Culture 2023.

"Bu Fawziya invites us to get involved with the Year of Culture that he wants to organize. Yesterday he visited the Sultan, Governor of DIY and will hold a cycling event from Jogja to Borobudur," said Ganjar.

Ganjar is also committed to optimizing cooperation with Qatar, especially in the fields of education and culture.

It is hoped that the cooperation with Qatar can provide benefits to all parties involved, especially Central Java Province.

"On the other hand, we are trying to explore cooperation, there are scholarships to Qatar, cooperation between art and cultural universities. We are trying to explore that potential again," said Ganjar.

"Hopefully Indonesia's cooperation with Qatar can be much more and we can share for the benefit of the two countries," continued Ganjar.
