Not Once, Dewa 19 Will Record Five-star Album With Ari Lasso
JAKARTA - Good news for lovers of the band Dewa 19 because the rock-pop music unit led by Ahmad Dhani is in the process of re-released the phenomenal "Star Lima" album at the start of the 2000 millennials.
The news was confirmed by the former vocalist, Ari Lasso, on the sidelines of a media conference session "Conser 3 Decades of Love Trip Ari Lasso" in Jakarta, Monday (8/5).
"Currently Dhani and I are in the process of re-recording the album 'Star Lima'. So, I have recorded three songs and will continue with songs that have also been sung by Once," explained Lasso.
Dewa's fifth album "Star Lima" was released in 2000 which was the debut for vocalist Elfonda "Once" Mekel and drummer Tyo Nugros. The album was successfully sold to reach more than 1.8 million copies.
Almost all the songs on the album exploded on the market, including "Roman Picisan", "Two Couples", "Risah Hati", "Cemburu", "Longa Cinta", "Swip Patah", "Separah Breath" and "Cinta Is Mystery".
Furthermore, Lasso recounted that the desire to re-record the songs on the album could not be separated from the song "One" project that he brought back with Dewa 19. He admitted that he really liked the song from the album "Laskar Cinta" which was released in 2004.

For him, the song has given an extraordinary injection of enthusiasm when battling lymphoma cancer since two years ago.
"I sang the song with Dewa 19 and in two weeks two million (views). For me, it was an extraordinary gift. I listened to the song when I was fighting cancer. When I recovered, I told Dhani to sing the song," said Lasso.
