Ahead Of Eid 2023, DKI Satpol PP Nets 2,086 Beggars To Homeless
JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin said that his party had recruited 2,086 social welfare service (PPKS) recipients ranging from beggars to homeless or homeless people ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1442 H.
"The Satpol PP is assigned to ensure that all activities are safe. For PPKS operations, the number has been reached by Pol PP for the period from February 9 to April 10," Arifin told reporters, Wednesday, April 12.
Arifin said that his party had deliberately held a PPKS raid several months ago. As a result, the closer the homecoming season ahead of Lebaran 2023, the fewer PPKS numbers were netted.
Menirit dia, hal ini terjadi karena ada efek kejutan atau shock therapy pada semua pihak yang mungkin memanfaatkan bulan Ramadan datang ke Jakarta untuk menjadi pengemis dan sebagainya.
"In February we reached out with more than 1,200 PPKS. The more we come here, each month it is under 1,000. Compared to last year, there are fewer now," he said.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
After being arrested, this PPKS was brought by Satpol PP to government-owned social institutions. In social institutions, the Social Service conducted an assessment of PPKS which was caught in a raid.
If they have DKI ID cards, they will be trained. Meanwhile, if they are residents outside Jakarta, they will be returned to their origins.
Furthermore, Arifin revealed, the group most often caught in the Satpol PP raid was beggars and homeless people with more than 500 people.
"On the sides of the road, in crowded places, in the economic center, shopping markets, then also places of worship, mosques, and so on. We do outreach everything I mentioned, indeed the most homeless people and beggars," explained Arifin.
