The Reason For Green Screen Format In Love Is Blind Video Clip Of Dewa 19 Feat. All Stars

JAKARTA - Dewa 19 released a new video clip for the single entitled Love Is Blind on April 4 today.

Andra said that the making of the video clip featured collaborations with world-class musicians such as Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal (Sons of Apollo, ex-Guns N' Roses), Simon Phillips (ex-Toto), Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater), Dino Jelusick (Whitesnake), Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Talas), and Jeff Scott Soto (Sons Of Apollo, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) was made in Los Angeles and took a relatively short time.

"We rented a studio there. Yes, we made it for half a day. After that, it was immediately wrapped up. They all came. And it was all in green screen format," Andra said at a press conference for the launching of the Love Is Blind video clip in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Ahmad Dhani added that the reason for using the green screen in this video clip was due to time effectiveness and avoiding various obstacles.

"They all come from different cities to come to Los Angeles. So, everything goes well on the same date and time, we finally decided to use a green screen. So that there are no weather problems either," added Ahmad Dhani.

"And why the Pyramids, because Ron Thal has never been there. So, because we have never been to Egypt either, we decide to choose the Pyramids as a background," he said.

Not only related to the video clip, but Dhani also explained the reasons for selecting the song Love Is Blind to be offered to the line of great musicians.

"Why did we choose this song to offer them? You see, we are currently offering cooperation to musicians who we consider the gods of American music. Therefore I have to choose a song that, when they listen, they will not be rejected or embarrassed to play," he explained.

"Because we know that musicians are not only about money. There is money, but musicians also have ideals. Moreover, they have many fans in the world, so they don't want to be criticized," he continued.

"And this song has a reff circulation that will astonish them. There are only two bands in the world that have songs like this, first Queen, second Dewa 19," he concluded.
