Extreme Weather In Natuna, Syahbandar Issues Warning Letter Not To Go To Sea
KEPRI - Serasan Syahbandar in Natuna Regency issued a letter advising local residents not to use sea transportation given the potential threat of extreme weather.
Class II Port Administration Unit Office Tarempa in the working area of Serasan Port said the letter is valid from today, Wednesday, January 25, until an undetermined time according to weather conditions.
"Given the weather conditions in Serasan, Subi and Natuna waters as a whole are not good and very extreme," said the Head of the Serasan Syahbandar, Surahman, in a written statement, Wednesday, January 25, confiscated by Antara.
Surahman said the appeal was also intended for Natuna residents to use any type of ship accommodation. "Such as pompong and others, until the weather is really stable or shady," he added.

Previously, the BMKG also issued an early warning letter for extreme weather in the Natuna sea area, especially in the northern, Natuna, Serasan, and Subi seas with waves reaching four to six meters potentially occurring on January 26-28 2023.
While early warnings for medium-heavy rains which may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds are likely to occur in Natuna Regency in the West Bunguran, North Bunguran, Northeast Bunguran, Batubi Bunguran, East Bunguran, South Bunguran, Central Bunguran, Tiga Island, Subi, Serasan, and Midai.
