Work Visit In North Sulawesi, Jokowi Will Inaugurate The Kuwil Kawangkoan Dam With A Budget Of IDR 1.9 T

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is on a working visit to North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi). The head of state is scheduled to inaugurate the Kuwil Kawangkoan Dam, North Minahasa, Thursday 19 January.

Starting today's activities, the President will head to the Pinasungkulan Market, Manado City, to hand over social assistance to traders.

Quoting the statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat via Antara, the President's entourage then headed to North Minahasa Regency to distribute social assistance to traders at Airmadidi Market.

Then, the President is scheduled to inaugurate the Kuwil Kawangkoan Dam, North Minahasa.

During this afternoon, the President visited the Likupang area. The agenda was then continued by inspecting the Nirmala Bahari ship at Munte Port, North Minahasa Regency.

After completing all activities, the President will return to the hotel in Manado City to continue work activities on Friday 20 January.

The construction of the Kuwil Kawangkoan Dam began in 2016 with an estimated cost of IDR 1.9 trillion.

According to data on KPPIP's official website, the Kuwil Kawangkoan Dam can reduce flood discharge by 282 cubic meters per second, provide a raw water supply of 4.50 cubic meters per second, and generate 1.20 MW of electricity.
